Undeniably and unsurprisingly one of the most gorgeously animated films of the year.

On a semi-unrelated note: It is weird that THIS was the film that really made me think about how horrific a film industry dominated by streaming services looks like. Like you can really only experience this beautiful movie if you own an Apple device of some kind. Or an Apple Id or whatever you get what I mean. Very awesome how films got so accessible and so inaccessible so fast! Not a mind-blowing thought by any means. But pretty odd the more you think about it, no? Idk

Great movie, though!

My little cousin cried for several minutes because of how beautiful the movie was. And I cried because I havent seen Sean Bean on anything good since Lord of the Rings😭

Feels like I didn't give this movie the attention it deserved because i watched it over the course of a week, constantly reminding myself "ahh I really should finish Wolfwalkers" like it was a slog of a TV show and not a perfectly good movie. Big Hunchback/Pocahantas vibes with a really beautiful hand-drawn animated style that feels like something I would've stumbled on while surfing past Cartoon Network some afternoon in the mid-2000s. In a just world this movie would be a big hit and we'd get a few months of annoying reflexive discourse where I would say something purposefully stupid like "I liked Wolfwalkers better when it was called Avatar 🙄" and two people would send me a way-too-aggressive paragraph yelling about Dances with Wolves.

This movie has the most weirdly inconsistent animation I've ever seen, there are some scenes that are straight-up some of the most gorgeous things I've ever witnessed, and then others where the character designs look like parodies and I can't tell what the focal point of the shot is supposed to be

But it was great otherwise so go watch it

absolutely delightful. some of the plot points can easily be guessed just like most family films, but the animation is gorgeous and the loving warmth radiates off every frame like the sun

Wolfwalkers mixes heartwarming humanity and a strong dose of political overtone, in a magical, melancholy folklore tale that's equal parts mature and carefree. Set in an imagined Irish town, where the theme of good v. evil is again echoed, with a resounding political twist that's as relevant today as ever before, Wolfwalkers is for sure one of the best movies of 2020.

Wolfwalkers is a much welcomed breath of fresh air in the animation world, thanks to its unapologetically anti-Hollywood nature -- the unmistakable accents, the breathtakingly poetic, traditional hand-drawn style, as well as its message that's for the most part overwhelming for a Hollywood production. The likeability of the characters, the perfect soundtracks and its abundant heart and soul all contribute to the greatness of Wolfwalkers, which is guaranteed to be a fun, dazzling and tearjerking ride. Highly recommended.

I didn't know that I need another animated wolf movie that also shows the hardships of being a parent after Wolf Children (2012), but now I want more.

O roteiro é bem simples, às vezes clichê , mas o que prende a atenção aqui é a belíssima arte e a animação excepcional. É lindo ver o contraste entre o design do reino e o da floresta. Dentro do reino, prevalecem formas geométricas bem definidas, como quadrados e triângulos, e cores mais próximas do cinza, dando uma sensação de aprisionamento e perda de individualidade. Já na floresta, As formas são bem fluidas e livres e há uma variedade maior de cores. Um filme relativamente simples, mas uma linda experiência visual.

Wolf Dad Sean Bean strikes back

A kids movie full of a lot of heart. The animation is unique and excellent, and the voice acting and character animation is just stellar. There’s so much emotion conveyed.
